Government Extends Public Utility Service Status for Crude Oil Production Industries

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has officially extended the declaration of industries engaged in the manufacture or production of crude oil and petroleum products as a Public Utility Service under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.

The extension takes effect from August 28, 2025, and will remain valid for six months, up to February 28, 2026.
