DOT OSP License - Department of Telecommunication

In order to provide any telecom services using the telecom resources such as public telecom network, mobile network, the digital network, etc. every service provider must be registered with the Department of Telecommunication (DOT).

Applicability of OSP DOT registration is for the service providers in India involved in telecommunication industry including BPO/call centers, e-commerce, telebanking, telemedicine, tele-education, and other IT enabled services are required to obtain OSP Registration.

To obtain DOT OSP License registration our Service Charge will be INR 40,000/- (include govt. fee) in 30-35 working days. (Due to COVID19 Down, the department is working on less manpower)

Documents:- Requirements for OSP registration

1 Memorandum & Articles of Association

2 Certificate of Incorporation issued by Registrar of Companies

3 Resolution of The Board of Directors

4 Power of Attorney duly notarized authorizing the signatory with attested signature.

5 List of Present Directors of the company with Name, Address

6 Present shareholding pattern of the company (indicating Indian Equity & Foreign Equity)

7 Network diagram - the OSP must clearly mention in the diagram whether it is using Sharing of Infrastructure or Centralized EPABX architecture or the CUG facility. Any change in the network is also required to be intimated immediately by the OSP without any delay.

8 If interconnection of either one international OSP centre (Company A) with another international OSP centre (Company B) of Group companies is required. If so , whether in case group companies the following documents have been submitted.

8.1 Shareholding pattern of one international OSP center (Company A)

8.2 Shareholding pattern of another international OSP center(Company B)

8.3 Certificate from statutory Auditor of the company to certify that one international OSP center (Company A) & another international OSP center (Company B) are Group Companies.

8.4 Other supporting documents, if any like balance sheet, annual report etc. to establish that international OSP center (company A) & another international OSP center(company B) are Group Companies.

9 If interconnection of either one domestic OSP center ( Company A) with another domestic OSP center (Company B) of Group companies the following documents have been submitted.

9.1 Shareholding pattern of one domestic OSP center (Company A)

9.2 Shareholding pattern of another domestic OSP center(Company B)

9.3 Certificate from statutory Auditor of the company to certify that one domestic OSP center (Company A) & another domestic OSP center (Company B) are Group Companies.

9.4 Other supporting documents, if any like balance sheet, annual report etc. to establish that domestic OSP center (company A); another domestic OSP center(company B) are Group Companies.

The above documents must be certified with seal by a Company Secretary or Director of the Company or Statutory Auditor or Public Notary.

Validity - The DOT OSP certification once obtained is valid for a period of 20 years.
