Waives off Late Fee for Professions Tax

Maharashtra Finance Department waives off late fee under Maharashtra State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1975

The Finance Department of Maharashtra on September 02, 2020 has amended the notification no. PFT. 2014/ CR 38/Taxation-3 dated August 21, 2014 which specifies the waiving off late fee for a specifies period for certain class of people under the Maharashtra State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1975.

Entry 7 (e), in the Schedule has been substituted, namely:

“Return specified in column (c) shall be filed on or before the September 30, 2020 on the website of the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Department.”
