Government of Chandigarh provides exemption on working hours under the Factories Act
The State Government of Chandigarh on June 03, 2020 Order No.12/01/106-IIII(2)-2020/7732 has exempted factories registered under the Factories Act, 1948 from the provision of weekly hours, daily hours, interval for rest, spread over with immediate effect for three months subject to the following conditions:-
- No worker should work for more than 6 hours without any break.
- Work hour should not be more than 12 hours in a day and 72 hours in a week.
- No female worker should be allowed to work between 7 PM to 6 AM.
