Who shall bear the loss
Employer are moving in to secure their employee in the battle against Covid-19 by presenting exceptional arrangements in company policy to guarantee quarantining staff that their segregation period won't influence their take home salary. but, if the crisis continues, many sectors could see gigantic employment misfortunes. For now, most employer are holding off, with many seeking government intervention. Every sector of Industry are facing business loss & which is directly affected our employment- Job Loss due to Coronavirus.

- Turism Body expected to loss 1.2 million direct jobs;
- 15-25% of Casual & contract worker from Hospitality sector shall suffer from Job Loss;
- 10% of Global Cruises line Job may suffer first blow;
- In Restaurant 15-20% as of now job cuts, expecting more;
- GoAir has asked employee to go on rotational leave without pay;
- Air India has cut allowances & layover times;
- Retail sector, which provide 46 million employment, shall face 25% (11 million) of job loss;
- Real Estate, second largest employer after agriculture, already economic slump wiped nearly 20% of jobs & now corona outbreak had make it worse, 35% job loss more;
- Ola, Uber & other Ride-Hailing, which currently provide job to 5 million drivers. But Coronavirus had down demand by 40-50%, Driver-partner are facing pay & incentive loss;
- Swiggy, Zomato & other online food delivery industry which provide 5 lakh flexi-job employment does not shows any immediate job loss but yes they also face 20% dipped in income on average for each delivery partner;
- Amazon, Flipkart & other online shopping Ecommerce site, having 6.1 million employees, has shown sinks in demand & 20% to 30% job losses expected;
- Entertainment Industry expected to impact contract, freelancers employee;
- Temp staffing, currently have 4.1 million employment, is also facing COVID19 impact. Face to face interviews are on hold & online started. Hit for employee whose work can't be done from home.
Industry Practice
- Tata Steel - “special leave” provision for any employee who might need to self-quarantine or stay away from office due to perceived Corona virus exposure;
- RPG Enterprises - Has come up with an “exceptional” leave policy with full pay for as long as needed;
- Swiggy - is also advising and encouraging employees to take leave for as long as they need in cases where they are unable to work from home till the time they get better;
- Flipkart - had also encourage work from home;
- Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punja, Haryana, Gujarat government had asked industries to reduce their workforce to 50% and encourage work from home norm amid the Covid-19 outbreak;
- Cashify - provided laptop to it employee to work from home;
Industry Challenges
Central & State government industries to reduce their workforce to 50% and encourage work from home norm amid the Covid-19 outbreak, employer are worried to pay for no work, for those industry like restaurant & manufacturing, which can't be performed from Home. Industry is seeking government intervention to answer.

govt तो bear कर ही रही है..ऐसे समय मे क्या ये देखा जाना चाहिए कि किसकी जिम्मेदारी है, ये राष्ट्रीय आपदा जैसा मामला है,सबकी जिम्मेदारी है.. employer की ,employee की सबकी..
