Maharashtra Factory Law 2025 – Compliance Monk Launches New Shorts Series
⚙️ Understanding the Maharashtra Factories (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025
The Maharashtra Government has notified the Factories (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025, introducing a transformative shift in how factory compliance will be managed.
This landmark amendment brings digitalization, safety enhancement, and inclusivity to the forefront of industrial operations.
To help professionals, HR leaders, and factory managers understand these major changes, Compliance Monk proudly presents a 7-episode YouTube Shorts Series titled —
🎥 “Factory Law 2025 Update – Maharashtra Edition”
Each short video breaks down one critical rule change — explained in clear, simple, and engaging language.
💻 Episode 1: Digital Factory Compliance 2025
From October 2025, Maharashtra factories will move to a completely digital compliance system.
All applications, renewals, and notices — including Form 1, Form 4, and Form 7-A — must be submitted online via the DISH Maharashtra portal.
No more paper files or duplicate copies — it’s time for Digital Factory Compliance!
🚨 Episode 2: Mock Drill Every 6 Months
Safety can’t wait.
Under the new Rule 73-ZD, every factory must conduct a mock emergency drill once every six months.
The date and scenario of the drill must be reported to the Factory Inspector within 15 days — ensuring every workplace is ready for any crisis.
🩺 Episode 3: Medical Check-up Mandatory After 45
Health equals compliance.
Factories are now required to conduct annual medical check-ups for all workers aged 45 years and above.
These medical reports must be recorded in Form 7-A and submitted electronically within 15 days — all at the employer’s cost.
🌙 Episode 4: Women Night Shift Rules
The amendment empowers women to work night shifts (7 PM – 6 AM) — but with mandatory safety measures:
✅ Safe transport from home to factory and back
✅ CCTV monitoring for at least 45 days
✅ Minimum two women per shift
✅ Written consent retained for 3 years
✅ Proper lighting, toilets, and drinking water
This change ensures empowerment with protection.
🤰 Episode 5: Pregnant & Lactating Women Protection
In all factory schedules, the word “women” has been replaced with “pregnant women” and “lactating mothers.”
This means that such employees cannot be assigned hazardous or chemical-related tasks.
It’s a progressive step toward ensuring a safer and more inclusive workplace.
📝 Episode 6: New Factory Forms Explained
The amendment revises the factory documentation system:
-
Form 1 – Registration, renewal, or change of manager
-
Form 4 – Digital factory license
-
Form 7-A – Health register (electronic submission)
And yes — Form 5 has been officially deleted!
⚖️ Episode 7: The Complete Recap
The Maharashtra Factories (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025 mark the biggest reform in a decade.
With full digital transition, safety reinforcement, and gender-inclusive provisions, the new law redefines what compliance means in the modern industrial era.
