Employees' State Insurance (Central) Amendment Rules, 2019 - Draft


The Ministry of Labor and Employment on June 24, 2019, has distributed the Draft called Employees' State Insurance (Central) Amendment Rules, 2019, to further alter the Rule 61-An of the Employees' State Insurance (Central) Rule, 1950, which indicates the Income furthest reaches of ward guardians for qualification to health advantage.


Current Rule 61-A: The income of dependent parents for eligibility to medical benefit under sub-clause (v) of clause (11) of section 2 of the Act from all sources should not exceed five thousand rupees in a month.



Prepossessed Rule 61-A: The income of dependent parents for eligibility to medical benefit under sub-clause (v) of clause (11) of section 2 of the Act from all sources should not exceed Nine thousand rupees in a month.


The Draft Rules will be taken into consideration after thirty days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette that is June 24, 2019.
